Sportsmen's Family Picnic

            MILFORD – In celebration of REACH (Research, Educate, Advocate, Certify, Hunt), the NEPA Branch of Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) is hosting a family picnic style banquet this year with a sportsmen's silent auction and raffle on Saturday, July 12, (rain date July 13) at the Welcome Lake Fire Dept. near Hawley.

            Register early and pick up your tickets at the event beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the fun day that runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

            Bring your own bow and flintlock to participate in shooting skill contests for men and women. Equipment will be provided for contests of pellet guns, casting and tomahawk throw for adults and youth.

            There will be a 10-gun Gun Blitz game, silent auction and raffles. You could win items like a scoped air rifle, bow rack, deer table lamp, sculptures, canvas saddle roll, tree stand restraint system, knife sharpener, binoculars, luggage, soft cooler, wildlife prints, and much more.

            Recreation experiences include a golf foursome, day of fishing at a local club, river trip, ski season pass, and family package at a fun park. Enjoy a chainsaw wood carving demonstration.

            Early bird raffle tickets are available of $100 for $300 worth of tickets, $175 for $600 worth of tickets, or $250 for $900 worth of tickets before July 1.

            Enjoy a great picnic meal for adults at $12 each, and children age 10 and under for $8 each. New and one year QDMA membership renewals are $30.
