Jeff Foxworthy Among SeminarSpeakers at QDMA National Convention
BOGART, GA. – Jeff Foxworthy is as passionate about hunting and managing white-tailed deer as he is about entertaining crowds with his blue-collar brand of humor. Foxworthy will explain that passion – and how it has resulted in a highly successful Quality Deer Management program on his Georgia property – in a seminar during the 2006 QDMA National Convention and Whitetail Expo, in Valley Forge, Pa. “We are very excited to have Jeff as one of our seminar speakers,” said QDMA Executive Director Brian Murphy. “He has a wonderful and important story to tell about how QDM has paid off for him and how it has enhanced the quality of all wildlife on his property, not just deer.” Foxworthy will speak Saturday, June 24, during the afternoon seminar session of the 2006 QDMA National Convention and Whitetail Expo, which will be held at the Valley Forge Convention Center. He is one of more than 20 of the nation’s top deer experts that will be speaking during the Convention including Dr. James Kroll, one of the nation’s foremost experts and co-host of “North American Whitetail” TV; Dr. Gary Alt, former deer project leader for the Pennsylvania Game Commission; Dr. Grant Woods, nationally known wildlife consultant; and Dr. Mickey Hellickson, Chief Wildlife Biologist for the King Ranch. “Our lineup of speakers and topics is intended to provide everyone interested in deer hunting and management with the kind of information they can apply to their specific situations,” Murphy said. “Having Jeff is a highlight for us – not because of his abilities as a comedian, but because he has experienced the benefits of QDM from first-hand knowledge and experience.” “Like many of our members across the nation, Jeff decided to take his love of deer hunting and his interest in stewardship to the next level by applying QDM principles on his own land,” Murphy continued. “His success has been remarkable, and we are gratified that he is willing to share his story with others interested in QDM. Jeff will be part of the strongest lineup of seminar speakers ever assembled for a public audience. ” Registration forms for the Convention are available from the QDMA National Office, and online at www.QDMA.com. Founded in 1988, QDMA is a national nonprofit wildlife conservation organization with 35,000 members in all 50 states and several foreign countries. Membership in QDMA is open to anyone interested in better deer and better deer hunting, and committed to ethical hunting, sound deer management and the preservation of the deer-hunting heritage.
